Dr. Abderrazak MKADMI is a Tunisian academic born on August 7, 1972 in Thala (Kasserine), Tunisia. He is currently Assistant Professor in Information and Library Sciences at the Department of Information Studies, College of Arts and Social Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Muscat, Sultanate of Oman (since 2021).
He is also an Assistant Professor (on leave) at the Higher Institute of Documentation (ISD), University of Manouba, Tunisia (since 2005). His career spans three countries — Tunisia, France and Oman — combining academic research, university teaching, expert consultancy, and international conference leadership.
Dr. Mkadmi obtained his PhD in Information and Communication Sciences from the University of Paris 8 (France) in 2004, under the supervision of Prof. Imad Saleh (Paragraphe Laboratory). His doctoral thesis addressed collaborative information retrieval and rethinking of information retrieval system architectures. He subsequently obtained a Master's degree from École Centrale Paris (2001–2002) and a DEA from ENSSIB, Lyon (1996–1997). In 2023, he obtained the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from the University of Manouba.
His research covers EDRMS, digital archiving and long-term preservation, Big Data and AI in information management, digital libraries, and the right to be forgotten. He has published 6 books, 35 journal articles, 37 conference papers, and supervised 5 ongoing PhD students.
